I was born in the south of france and grow up in marseille, then move to usa
I started to play with the plastic ball as kids, and as being from marseille football, pastis and petanque is a real culture so then since then I have been playing on and off so I will say, I also played in usa with friend and some petanque community in los angeles and arizona.
I am a petanque amateur players, used to play on some competition here and there years ago
however most likely now I just play friendly and have fun socialized make new friend in a petanque community. Petanque is more than a game it is a cultural friendly socialized spirit.
