The Pétanque Club Zurich
Petanque in Switzerland: The fever about petanque in German speaking switzerland started in the earlys 60's when Switzerland surprisingly won the Pétanque World Championship in Madrid.
About the club: The Pétanque Club Zurich was founded back in 1968 by Henry Werner, nowadays the Club has 137 members.
Most of the players join the trainings for the atmosphere and to have fun, but there are indeed about 45 of them with a license that play for sporting goals.
We keep a good level inside the team, from time to time, the best in the club had reach the advance round of 16 and quarterfinals at major Swiss tournaments.
The meeting place is Josefwiese, we have 40 sets of petanque balls to lend.
We are happy to welcome individual players, groups, institutions or companies.
